What we offer
Service Agreements
Our standard recommendation is for a semiannual service agreement. For this agreement we come to your equipment twice a year. Once for a minor inspection in which we will go through your system looking for any defects, clean the unit up, top off fluids if needed and run the system to check for proper operation. The second visit is the major inspection. This includes these items, if applicable: oil, oil filter, spark plugs/ ignition parts, fuel filter, coolant filter. Then the same inspection done during the minor service. Custom service agreements can be done if different specifications are needed.
Generator system sales
We offer Kohler, Generac, and Cummins residential and light commercial generators. This means from the point of sale onward we have you covered. We would be happy to come out and give you a quote for a system. Please reach out to us for a free consultation.
Load bank testing
Load bank testing is a supervised full system test that will determine if your generator is capable of operating at its rated KW. When a unit sits for extended periods of time it’s possible that fuel system, cooling system, generator or engine components could fail or not perform to their potential. This testing helps determine if there are any issues that can’t be seen during unloaded conditions.
Cooling system service
Cooling system service is an important way to make sure that your engine is cooling properly. Every 5 years we recommend a full service. Over time the coolant will start to degrade and can turn acidic causing improper cooling and failures. On top of that the rubber and silicone in the hoses will start to break down making it more likely a rupture will happen. With this service we would replace all belts, hoses, thermostat, radiator cap, air filter, and coolant.
Remote monitoring
Just because you have an older system or didnt opt for remote monitoring when your generator was purchased doesnt mean you dont have options. There are cell based and hard wired options for monitoring. We would be happy to help you get set up.
Controller replacement
Whether your equipment is new or old, at some point your control system will become obsolete. It’s the unfortunate reality that not all components will be available forever, but when it does happen we need an alternative. We have installed many aftermarket controls over the years and will do our best to get the best option for your needs.
Battery service
Batteries are one of the most common failure points for a generator. For this reason, we recommend replacing batteries every 3 years. When a new battery is installed maintaining it will help to make it last longer. Properly cleaned battery terminals that are tightened properly and are corrosion free are very important as well.
Oil, coolant and fuel analysis
It can be good to take fluid samples and have them sent to a lab for analysis. It’s a way to get a glimpse of what’s going on inside of the engine or fuel tank without disassembling everything.
Transfer switch maintenance
Transfer switches can be complex pieces of equipment. They are usually put on the back burner when it comes to maintenance as they are a critical component in keeping power on. Because they sit idle for most of their lifespan it is important to schedule time to exercise, clean, and lubricate the components. While this does require down time, it is far better to have a scheduled outage than a failure when needed most.
There is a lot more that we are capable of doing for you. Please reach out to us with anything generator related and we would be happy to get a solution for you.
